• Rampant activities under the protection of ruling party leaders
• Attacks on houses; gangs indulging in atrocities against women
• Chaos in the heart of Vijayawada, claiming to be aides of Bonda Uma
• Attempt to rape a woman by pulling her saree inside her house
• Death threats issued openly
• On the other hand, ganja and cocaine seizures reported everywhere
• Criminals running amok without restraint
• Liquor, ganja, and cocaine freely available anytime, anywhere in the state
• Total failure of the government in controlling ganja
• Those who oppose ganja are being murdered by TDP-backed “lady dons”
• Gangs creating an atmosphere of terror across the state
• Chandrababu Naidu government reduced to helpless spectators instead of stopping crimes
• Gross failure in maintaining law and order; police machinery completely paralysed
Liquor, ganja, and cocaine gangs are running riot across the state with the backing of the ruling party. With intoxicants available round the clock, criminals have gained unprecedented confidence. Under the influence of liquor and ganja, mafias are attacking houses and committing brutal atrocities against women. They are even going to the extent of killing those who oppose ganja, reflecting how badly law and order has deteriorated.
In a recent shocking incident in Vijayawada, a ganja gang attempted to sexually assault a woman inside her own house. The attackers behaved in a barbaric and inhuman manner by pulling her saree and threatening to kill her.
Total Collapse of Law and Order
Across Andhra Pradesh, repeated incidents of ganja and cocaine seizures are coming to light. Cocaine is also being seized frequently. Due to belt shops, liquor is available 24 hours a day, flowing freely like a river. Ganja gang attacks have increased sharply. With the protection of ruling party leaders, criminals are becoming more aggressive.
The ganja mafia’s excesses are increasing day by day, creating a climate of fear among the public. Repeated seizures of ganja and cocaine, violent attacks, atrocities against women, and round-the-clock liquor availability are shaking the state. This “ganja gang terror,” operating with political backing, is undermining public safety. Chandrababu Naidu’s government has failed miserably, and the police system stands weakened, pushing people into fear and insecurity.
Attempted Rape in the Heart of Vijayawada
A horrifying incident on December 18 in Vijayawada has sparked widespread outrage. In the evening, a housewife was alone at home when about a dozen miscreants broke open the doors and barged in. Shouting that they were “followers of Bonda Uma,” they attempted to sexually assault her by pulling her saree and threatening to kill her.
The gang, allegedly under the influence of ganja, vandalised household articles, terrorised the woman, and fled. By the time police arrived, the accused had disappeared. This incident triggered statewide anger, reinforcing allegations that such crimes occur under the protection of ruling party leaders.
Series of Ganja and Cocaine Seizures
Several ganja seizures were reported across the state in December alone:
• December 17: 24,690 kg of ganja seized in Guntur district
• Indoor ganja cultivation detected in Srikalahasti
• Vijayawada: 2.280 kg of ganja seized; four arrested
• December 14: Ganja supply gang busted in Kadapa; 600 grams of ganja and ₹60 lakh cash seized
• December 12: Visakhapatnam – ganja worth ₹1.11 crore seized; cocaine weighing 48,300 grams recovered in 110 packets
• December 9: 13,288 kg ganja seized
• December 6: 10 kg ganja seized; ganja worth ₹1.11 crore seized in Ramachandrapuram
• December 20: Guntur – 8.5 grams of cocaine worth ₹3 lakh seized; six arrested
• December 18: 5 kg ganja seized
Despite these seizures, crimes linked to ganja continue unabated.
Political Protection
There are clear allegations that ruling TDP leaders are backing these gangs. Those who oppose ganja are reportedly being killed by “lady dons,” with the Nellore-based Lady Arun incident cited as evidence. Instead of stopping such lawlessness, the Chandrababu Naidu government appears helpless. The police system has been rendered ineffective, while liquor, ganja, and cocaine remain easily available, leading to rising crime.
Big Promises, Zero Action
Before elections, Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh, Pawan Kalyan, and BJP leaders spread false propaganda claiming ganja originated from Andhra Pradesh. They promised to eliminate ganja within 100 days of coming to power. Chandrababu declared that no ganja seller would be allowed to live on this land, while Lokesh vowed not to show his face if ganja was not eradicated in 100 days.
However, not 100 days but 18 months have passed, and those promises have vanished. Instead, ganja and cocaine seizures continue to surface daily. Liquor flows 24/7, and drug abuse fuels violence, attacks, and sexual crimes, while the government remains indifferent.
Capital Region Turning Into a Ganja Hub
Incidents involving ganja gangs are increasingly reported in and around the capital region—Vijayawada, Guntur, and Tadepalli. Agency areas have also seen a spike in ganja cases. Districts such as Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Krishna, Guntur, Tirupati, and Kadapa are witnessing frequent ganja-related crimes.
Even as police claim to seize large quantities and arrest many accused, the crimes continue unabated, exposing the deep-rooted failure of the coalition government.
GANJA GANG TERROR ROCKS ANDHRA PRADESH
Attacks on homes, atrocities on women, drugs flowing freely; law and order in shambles
Andhra Pradesh is witnessing an alarming surge in ganja, liquor, and cocaine-related crimes, with gangs operating fearlessly under alleged political protection. From attacks on homes to sexual assaults on women, the state is slipping into a climate of fear as the Chandrababu Naidu-led government faces serious accusations of failing to maintain law and order
Law and Order in Free Fall
Across the state, repeated ganja and cocaine seizures point to the scale of the drug menace. With liquor available round the clock due to belt shops, intoxication-driven violence has surged. Criminal gangs, emboldened by alleged ruling party backing, are unleashing terror on ordinary citizens.
Shocking Assault in Vijayawada
On December 18, a horrifying incident in Vijayawada exposed the depth of the crisis. A group of miscreants barged into a woman’s house, attempted sexual assault, threatened her life, and vandalised property, openly claiming political connections. The incident sparked outrage and raised serious questions about public safety in the state’s capital region.
Drugs Everywhere Despite Seizures
December alone saw massive ganja and cocaine seizures across multiple districts, including Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Kadapa, and Ramachandrapuram. While police showcase arrests and recoveries, the continuous flow of drugs highlights systemic failure.
Political Shield for Criminals?
Opposition parties allege that ruling TDP leaders are providing protection to drug gangs. Incidents involving “lady dons” and politically connected accused have intensified public anger, with critics accusing the government of turning a blind eye to lawlessness.
Broken Promises on Drug Control
Grand election-time promises to eradicate ganja within 100 days have remained hollow. Even after 18 months in power, the coalition government has failed to curb drug trafficking, allowing ganja and cocaine to spread unchecked.
Capital Region Under Siege
From Vijayawada and Guntur to agency and Rayalaseema districts, ganja-related crimes have become routine. Despite frequent seizures, the terror continues, leaving citizens anxious and questioning whether the state machinery has completely collapsed.
The growing ganja gang terror, rising drug availability, and repeated crimes against women have exposed the grave failure of governance in Andhra Pradesh. As fear grips the public, demands are mounting for decisive action to restore law, order, and safety in the state.
