Declaring that Andhra Pradesh is witnessing “Jungle Raj,” former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday said the state’s law and order machinery has collapsed and that the ruling establishment is resorting to diversionary politics after being exposed in the Tirupati laddu controversy. After visiting and consoling the family of former minister Ambati Rambabu, YS Jagan stated that the YSRCP will not remain silent in the face of violence and intimidation and will respond politically and legally
Lab reports nail the Truth
YS Jagan said reports from premier central laboratories NDDB and NDRI clearly established that no animal fat was present in the ghee used for Tirupati laddus. He pointed out that the Supreme Court–monitored CBI SIT chargesheet contains no reference to animal fat and does not name former TTD chairmen or YSRCP leaders. He said these findings have completely exposed the false narrative around laddu adulteration.
Instead of accepting the facts, the government is now ordering new probes and attempting to reshape the narrative, he said.
Diversion politics in full swing
YS Jagan said the ruling leadership is running a coordinated diversion campaign to shift attention away from the lab findings. Provocative posters and misinformation are being spread across the state targeting YSRCP leaders, while authorities remain inactive. He said these posters are deliberately designed to provoke tensions and mislead the public.
Targeting Opposition Voices
YS Jagan said leaders including Ambati Rambabu, Jogi Ramesh, Vidadala Rajini, Kakani Govardhan Reddy, and Bolla Brahmanandaidu faced attacks and cases simply for questioning the government. He said the attacks on the houses of Ambati Rambabu and Jogi Ramesh with sticks and other weapons show how intimidation has replaced democratic debate. Booking cases against victims while attackers roam free shows the true state of governance, he said.
False cases and political vendetta
YS Jagan said Jogi Ramesh has no link to the spurious liquor case and yet spent months facing action, while those actually running liquor rackets enjoy protection. He said this pattern shows how power is being used to silence dissent.
He recalled that Y.V. Subba Reddy approached the Supreme Court to establish the truth on the laddu issue and that the CBI findings validated that move.
Police silence raises questions
YS Jagan said police officers stationed nearby during the attacks did not respond to calls for help and failed to intervene while violence unfolded. Such inaction, he said, reflects a system working under pressure rather than upholding the law.
YSRCP will fight back
Making it clear that the party will not retreat, YS Jagan said YSRCP will pursue every democratic, legal, and political route to challenge what is happening. Those behind the attacks will face consequences, he said, adding that the party will intensify its fight. He concluded that attacks on opposition leaders’ homes, misuse of police machinery, and propaganda politics have pushed the state into Jungle Raj and said the people of Andhra Pradesh are watching closely.
