YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Chief and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy visited the bereaved family of soldier Murali Naik, who was martyred in recent cross-border firing by Pakistan. The visit took place at Murali Naik’s residence in Kallithanda village of Gorantla Mandal, Sri Sathya Sai district.
YS Jagan offered his heartfelt condolences to the grieving parents of the slain jawan and paid floral tributes to a portrait of Murali. The emotional moment turned deeply touching when Murali’s father, overcome with grief, said, “Murali, wake up and salute Jagan sir who has come to see you.” The words moved everyone present to tears.
During his visit, YS Jagan recalled that it was under his leadership that the Andhra Pradesh government introduced the policy of providing Rs. 50 lakh financial assistance to families of soldiers who lay down their lives in service to the nation. He expressed gratitude to the current alliance government for continuing the same tradition.
Further, YS Jagan announced an additional financial assistance of Rs. 25 lakh to Murali Naik’s family on behalf of the YSR Congress Party. He praised Murali’s sacrifice as truly inspirational and stated that the entire nation is indebted to such brave soldiers.
“Murali Naik’s life is a source of inspiration. His sacrifice will be remembered forever. I pray for peace to his soul and want to assure his family that the YSR Congress Party stands firmly by them,” Jagan said.
