At a charged Political Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting in the YSRCP central office, former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced the launch of a special app to document injustices faced by party workers and citizens under the TDP coalition government. Slamming the TDP for its rampant corruption, unfulfilled promises, and targeted harassment of opposition leaders, YS Jagan outlined plans to intensify the Babu Surety, Mosam Guarantee campaign and strengthen YSRCP’s grassroots structure. He condemend the TDP, running a “demonic rule” and urged senior leaders to lead the charge in exposing Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s deceptions.
Special app to Combat Injustice
YS Jagan announced the imminent launch of a dedicated mobile application for YSRCP workers and citizens facing harassment or injustice. The app will allow users to file complaints, specify the officials involved, and upload evidence, which will be stored in a digital library on the server. Once YSRCP returns to power, this evidence will be used to hold perpetrators accountable through legal action, ensuring justice with “interest.”
TDP’s Complete Failure in Governance
YS Jagan criticised the TDP coalition government of failing on all fronts, leaving the state without governance or public benefits. He labeled their rule as one of rampant corruption and arbitrary looting, with no election promises fulfilled. The Recalling of Chandrababu’s Manifesto campaign aims to take these failures to every household, exposing the government’s deceit.
Harassment to silence opposition
The TDP is using illegal cases and arrests to suppress YSRCP leaders who raise public issues. YS Jagan cited cases like Mithun Reddy, arrested despite not holding a ministerial post; Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, targeted in Chandrababu’s constituency; Nandigam Suresh, jailed for 191 days; Kakani Govardhan Reddy, facing fabricated cases; and Anil Kumar Yadav, who narrowly escaped arrest after a co-accused exposed police torture. Other incidents include attacks on Nallapareddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy’s home and restrictions on former MLA Peddareddy in Tadipatri.
Chandrababu’s deceptions: broken promises
YS Jagan highlighted the TDP’s failure to deliver on promises like Rs. 1,500 monthly payments to 2.1 crore women, the Amma Vodi scheme (reduced to 30 lakh beneficiaries with only Rs. 8,500 paid), and education schemes like Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena, with Rs. 6,600 crore in pending dues. The Aarogyasri scheme faces Rs. 4,200 crore in arrears, causing private hospitals to deny treatment. Farmers lack support, with free crop insurance scrapped and RBKs rendered ineffective.
Police corruption under TDP Rule
YS Jagan taken on unprecedented police corruption, with DIGs, DSPs, and CIs collecting funds from illegal liquor sales and sand mining. These funds are shared with MLAs, the CM, and his son, forming an organized crime network. No mining operation is spared, and police provide protection to illegal activities, a level of corruption unseen in the state’s history.
Massive debt with No development
In 14 months, the TDP borrowed Rs. 1.75 lakh crore, 52% of the state’s total debt of Rs. 3.32 lakh crore over five years, without implementing any schemes. YS Jagan contrasted this with YSRCP’s tenure, which delivered welfare schemes, village secretariats, RBKs, ports, schools, medical colleges, and village clinics despite COVID-19 challenges. The state’s revenue growth lags at 3% against a national average of 12%, indicating funds are being siphoned off.
Strengthening YSRCP’s grassroots structure
YS Jagan directed the immediate formation of village and booth-level committees to strengthen YSRCP institutionally. Affiliated wings for youth, women, students, social media, farmers, and laborers must be established in every village, with appointed presidents to enhance grassroots leadership. This structure aims to ensure the party’s longevity for 30-40 years.
Senior leaders must lead actively
YS Jagan directed senior leaders to shed lethargy, act as mentors, and unite with district-level leaders to drive party programs. With the “honeymoon period” over, he emphasized active participation to inspire younger leaders, ensuring the Babu Surety, Cheating Guarantee campaign reaches every household through QR codes detailing Chandrababu’s unfulfilled promises.
Campaign success and future plans
The Babu Surety, Mosam Guarantee campaign has reached 169 of 175 constituencies and 538 of 640 mandals, with completion targeted for the remaining areas. Through QR codes, it informs households about Chandrababu’s financial dues and broken promises. YS Jagan stressed systematic monitoring and the formation of village committees, with at least 10 members per village recognized by local MLAs.
Priority to party workers
YSRCP will provide insurance and prioritize the welfare of its workers to build trust. Jagan emphasized that with a 15-year history, the party must strengthen its grassroots presence to last decades. Affiliated wings in every village, with presidents and ID cards, will motivate workers and ensure successful party programs.
Concerns over YS Jagan’s security
PAC members expressed alarm over the government’s failure to provide adequate security to YS Jagan during recent tours, particularly in Bangarupalyam, Chittoor, where police negligence was evident. They criticised the government of deliberate neglect, noting that ongoing reports about YS Jagan’s safety are causing anxiety. Members urged him to exercise greater caution.
