Heritage-Indapur Nexus Exposed.. YS Jagan calls 2026-27 Budget 'Bundle of Lies

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) President and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of masterminding irregularities in the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) ghee supply during his earlier tenure and attempting to deflect blame onto political rivals. Speaking to the media at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli on Thursday, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy detailed what he described as a clear “nexus” between Heritage Foods and Indapur Dairy, claiming favoured companies received undue benefits through reversed disqualifications, acceptance of rejected tankers, and contracts awarded at inflated prices.

YS Jagan stated that soon after Indapur Dairy’s name surfaced in the controversy, Heritage Foods swiftly altered its website status ,  changing Indapur from a “manufacturing unit” to a “co-manufacturing unit.” He pointed out the stark price disparity: the same company allegedly supplied ghee atRs. 278 per kg andRs. 321 per kg in the past, but now charges around Rs. 650–658 per kg under the current regime.

“Rejected tankers were accepted, disqualifications were revoked for favoured companies, and entities like Bhole Baba were encouraged ,  all during the TDP’s term,” Jagan charged. He insisted that the entire Tirupati laddu ghee controversy stems from corruption and irregularities that occurred during Chandrababu’s 2014–2019 tenure, with evidence now in the public domain through the CBI-SIT chargesheet.

‘Chandrababu Dragging God into Politics, Bluffing Shamelessly’

YS Jagan accused Chandrababu of shamelessly shifting blame to the YSRCP while all fingers of suspicion point toward him. “The irregularities in ghee supply happened during TDP rule, as endorsed in the CBI chargesheet. Yet he continues bluffing and dragging God into politics,” he said, referring to the sacred Tirupati laddu prasadam issue. He emphasized that the controversy is rooted in systemic corruption, not isolated incidents, and called out the chief minister for politicizing a religious matter.

 Budget Branded ‘Bundle of Lies’

Turning to the Andhra Pradesh state budget for 2026-27, Jagan dismissed it as “a bundle of lies” filled with Chandrababu’s “trademark deception.” He claimed the figures do not add up, with inflated growth rates that fail to reflect improvements in people’s living standards or per capita income. “Chandrababu has cheated all sections of society once again ,  farmers, students, women, youth, and employees ,  just as he has since 1999,” Jagan alleged. He pointed to meager allocations for welfare schemes, regular weeding out of beneficiaries, and unfulfilled election promises by the coalition government.

Key criticisms included:

– Sharp reduction in pensioners from 66,34,372 to 60,96,108, with further cuts indicated.

– Poor funding for Talliki Vandanam, free gas cylinders, RTC bus services for women, and Stree Shakti scheme, rendering many “non-starters.”

– Destruction of farmer support systems like RBKs, reintroduction of middlemen, and mounting dues for fee reimbursements and Aarogyasri.

– Inadequate midday meals leading to student hospitalizations, and pending payments to employees.

YS Jagan contrasted this with his government’s record: “We implemented every manifesto promise, while Chandrababu treats his as waste paper. State finances are mismanaged, placing Andhra Pradesh at the bottom of revenue lists. The budget format has been changed to hide actual loans.”

He concluded that health, education, agriculture, and welfare sectors are severely affected, leaving people “vexed” with the government. “Chandrababu has no proper allocations to match his election promises ,  he has cheated everyone,” Jagan asserted.
