In the aftermath of the horrific terror attack in Pahalgam, authorities across India have placed all major tourist and pilgrimage destinations under high alert. Following heightened security measures in Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday and Mumbai on Thursday, a similar security clampdown has been enforced in Tirupati, one of the country’s most significant religious destinations.
According to intelligence reports, prominent tourist locations could be potential targets, prompting the deployment of enhanced security protocols. In Tirupati, security has been significantly strengthened, especially at the Alipiri entrance—the main gateway to the Tirumala hill shrine. All private vehicles and RTC buses are being thoroughly checked by security personnel to prevent any possible threats.
In addition to vehicle checks, the temple premises and surrounding areas are under strict surveillance. Extra security personnel have been deployed to ensure the safety of devotees and tourists visiting the holy site.
