Disaster or PandemicYSRCP stands with the People

Always among the People

Whether it was COVID or cyclones, YSRCP leaders and cadres have consistently stood with the public. At the call of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the party has remained on the frontlines, from Srikakulam to Tirupati, evacuating families, supplying food, and running relief support during the latest Motha cyclone just as they did during the pandemic and previous storms.

YSRCP is a movement born from the people. In power or in opposition, the party’s commitment to public service remains unchanged.

Governance Systems That Served in Crisis

Village & Ward Secretariats

YS Jagan’s secretariat model once again proved invaluable. Secretariats in remote villages operated 24×7, issuing alerts door-to-door and reporting damages instantly to authorities. This system provided rapid, real-time response and support.

Volunteers: Heroes without headlines

Volunteers, who risked their lives during COVID, again stepped up during the cyclone, shifting people to shelters and ensuring essential supplies. Their services remain unmatched, even as the current government dismantled the volunteer network out of political vendetta.

Doorstep Ration Delivery

With 9,260 ration vehicles, Jagan introduced a delivery system that ensured essentials reached every home during emergencies. Even during the Vijayawada floods, these vehicles carried relief supplies. Chandrababu Naidu scrapped this invaluable service, slowing relief efforts

Rapid Crop Loss Support under YSRCP

YS Jagan’s government ensured season-same compensation instead of endless delays. Over five years, farmers received Rs. 3,261 crore in input subsidy and Rs. 34,288 crore under Rythu Bharosa. In contrast, the current government has failed to release input subsidy for four seasons and scrapped free crop insurance.

Ground-Level Relief Across Andhra Pradesh

YSRCP leaders personally visited and supported affected areas:
• Rajamahendravaram Rural: Chelluboina Venugopalakrishna inspected crop loss
• Kakinada: Dadisetti Raja helped fishermen with damaged boats
• Krishna District: Simhadri Ramesh reviewed relief camps
• Srikakulam: Dharmana Ram Manohar Naidu met victims
• Obulavaripalli: Koramutla Srinivasulu inspected flooded underpass
• Chandragiri: Chevireddy Mohith Reddy reviewed reservoir safety
• Tadepalligudem & Machilipatnam: Leaders assessed losses and ensured relief
• Markapuram & Udayagiri: Anna Rambabu and Mekapati Rajagopal Reddy toured affected villages

People Suffer in Poor Relief Camp Setup

Despite warnings, the government failed to make proper arrangements. At a Vakkalagadda camp in Challapalli mandal, a woman named Lakshmi Tirupatamma was bitten by a snake while sheltering with her children and is now under treatment — a tragic reflection of the administration’s negligence.
