BCCI Eyes Surprise India-Sri Lanka Series to Fill August Gap

In a sudden turn of events, the India-Bangladesh series scheduled for August 2025 has beenpostponed and Team India being free in August, the BCCI is in advanced talks with Sri LankaCricket (SLC) to organize a bilateral series comprising three ODIs and three T20Is. The movecomes after the Lanka Premier League was also postponed, making Sri Lanka a viable host. Iffinalized, the series schedule will be announced soon.

Fans are especially hopeful about the return of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to ODI action.Though both have retired from T20Is and Tests, their ODI availability has sparked excitementabout a possible reunion, especially after their last appearance together in the ICC ChampionsTrophy earlier this year.
