The Bharat RashtraSamithi (BRS) is all set to mark a major milestone — its grand Silver Jubilee celebrations — with a massive public meeting at Elkathurthy in Warangal district this Sunday.
It’s a proud moment for the party, celebrating 25 years of its journey — from a regional movement fighting for Telangana’s statehood to becoming a strong national voice. And they’re making sure the scale of the celebrations matches the significance!
Preparations are on a war footing. The venue spreads across more than 1,200 acres, and an estimated 10 lakh supporters are expected to attend. Organizers have arranged lakhs of water bottles, buttermilk packets, health camps, and large parking zones to manage the summer heat and the heavy crowd.
Former Chief Minister and BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) will deliver the key address, making his first major public appearance after the recent election results. Sources say KCR’s speech will not only highlight BRS’s achievements over the last 25 years — especially its role in creating Telangana — but will also launch a strong attack on the Congress government.
He Is expected to criticize the Congress for what he calls “failing the people” within just 15 months of rule, accusing it of creating instability and dissatisfaction across the state.
Party leaders believe this meeting is not just about celebrating the past, but also about reigniting the party’s momentum. With such a massive gathering, KCR also hopes to draw national attention.
