Turning the Sacred Tirumala Temple into a Political Stage
Chandrababu Naidu once betrayed his own father-in-law, NTR, the man who brought him into the party, gave him his daughter in marriage, and entrusted him with power and property. To justify that betrayal, he carried out a character assassination against NTR.
Today, he is walking on the same path once again by converting the sacred Tirumala temple into a political battleground. He is insulting the sentiments of crores of devotees and deliberately hurting their faith. To divert attention from cyclone destruction, privatization of government medical colleges, cancellation of fee reimbursement, and poor people struggling without Arogyasri, he has stooped to an extremely disgraceful propaganda campaign against the Tirumala laddu.
A factory of fake news and media manipulation
Without a shred of evidence, Chandrababu’s camp has coerced certain accused individuals to give statements tailored to their political agenda and used those statements to launch this false propaganda. They are spreading this venom in a systematic manner with no fear of God and no respect for faith.
On the Tirumala laddu issue, Lokesh distorted the remand report of an accused named Ajay Kumar Sugandh. He then used his fake news factories and yellow media channels to spread lies. When Lokesh suddenly retweeted a tweet blaming YSRCP, it became clear that the exact same wording appeared simultaneously from multiple accounts. This proves that Chandrababu and Lokesh pre-planned a conspiracy to malign YSRCP.
They created a tweet in Lokesh’s office, circulated it online, then paid money through hawala networks and fake companies to promote it. Later, they forwarded those tweets to media houses, claiming they were SIT report-based leaks, making the media run planted stories. They are spending large amounts of public money on this propaganda drama.
It was Chandrababu who tarnished Tirumala’s sanctity, not YSRCP
It was Chandrababu who dragged Tirumala’s purity into controversy. While he attempted to pollute the sacred space for political gains, Y.V. Subbareddy acted to protect the faith of crores of devotees. As a devout Hindu and former TTD chairman, he approached the Supreme Court and filed a writ petition to safeguard devotees’ sentiments.
During the hearing, the Supreme Court reprimanded Chandrababu’s alliance for irresponsible statements tarnishing Tirumala laddus. In revenge, Chandrababu and Lokesh are now targeting Subbareddy and YSRCP.
SIT’s investigation tailored to benefit Chandrababu
Chandrababu ensured that the SIT included officials favorable to him, including Srivastava Tripathi, who protected TDP interests during violent incidents in Guntur and Palnadu. Even though YSRCP expressed confidence in CBI, the SIT has avoided answering key questions and is clearly acting to politically benefit Chandrababu.
Unanswered questions on alleged adulterated ghee
Till today, the SIT has not clarified whether the allegedly adulterated ghee entered the laddu production. If contaminated ghee entered the temple kitchen, what proof exists? If tankers bypassed the TTD lab, was the lab proven ineffective? If so, the same lab functioned during Chandrababu’s previous term. YSRCP, in fact, modernized the lab.
Tankers rejected in July 2024 were allegedly used again in August, at a time when Chandrababu was already in power. If the tankers re-entered, responsibility lies on Chandrababu’s government alone. Yet he tries to pin the blame on YSRCP.
Bole Baba Ghee Company was blacklisted by Subbareddy
The Bol Baba company was banned from tenders by Subbareddy. If so, on what basis are they issuing notices to him? The accused Chinappanna worked for Subbareddy only until 2018. After that, he worked for TDP MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and his wife, Prashanthi Reddy. Yellow media conveniently ignores that.
Chinappanna, who served as a liaison officer for AP in Delhi, had no role in TTD matters. Yet he was used as a pawn by SIT to target Subbareddy. First, he was called as a witness, suddenly he was turned into an accused, without any financial trail or evidence.
SC orders ignored; political witch-hunt exposed
The Supreme Court clearly directed authorities not to act without evidence or politicize the issue. Yet SIT forced statements from Chinappanna, as seen in the video he himself released. If he was guilty, why wasn’t he arrested earlier? Why only after months? It is obvious this case is being used according to Chandrababu’s political timing.
Chandrababu’s own logic boomerangs
Chandrababu demanded to know how pure ghee could be supplied at Rs. 320/kg and claimed real ghee costs Rs. 1000–Rs. 3000/kg. But the current TTD is not buying at Rs. 3000/kg either. Does that mean they are using adulterated ghee?
During 2014–19, TTD bought ghee at Rs. 276/kg under Chandrababu’s government. Why is no one questioning whether adulterated ghee was used then? Members involved in past procurement were from TDP/BJP, yet only Subbareddy is being dragged in despite no wrongdoing.
Why no answers to Supreme Court’s questions?
The Supreme Court asked:
- If the EO confirmed no adulteration, how could the CM publicly claim animal fat in laddus without proof?
- NDDB itself wrote that its report could be wrong, so why didn’t the government seek a second opinion?
- If the report came in July 2024, why did the CM speak only in September?
- How did adulteration claims arise when all questioned tankers arrived after Chandrababu came to power?
- Were laddus ever sent for testing? If yes, where are the lab reports?
Chandrababu has not answered a single question. Instead, he continues his vendetta using SIT to manipulate public faith and malign a sacred prasadam
