The political rivalry between the Keshineni brothers—Keshineni Nani and MP Keshineni Sivanath (Chinni)—has exploded into a high-profile war of words, legal threats, and public accusations, capturing statewide attention in Andhra Pradesh.
Tensions flared after the state government allotted 60 acres of prime land in Visakhapatnam to a newly-formed company, Ursa Private Limited, which has a nominal capital of just Rs. 10 lakhs but is reportedly planning an investment of over Rs. 5,700 crores. In an open letter to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Nani accused Chinni of being the force behind Ursa, citing past business ties between Chinni and Ursa director Abburi Satish.
Nani further alleged that Chinni has links to fly ash, mining, gambling, and real estate mafias in the Vijayawada region, and that he has been misusing the names of party leaders like Nara Lokesh for influence. He backed up his claims with old company records and screenshots, posting them publicly.
In response, Chinni issued a Rs. 100 crore defamation notice to his brother, demanding proof for the allegations. Nani fired back on social media, standing by every word and claiming the legal notice was an attempt to silence him. “Even if it’s a Rs. 1,000 crore suit, I won’t stop exposing the truth,” he said.
This feud, now known as the “Bejawada Brothers Clash,” has gone beyond family differences to shake the TDP’s internal dynamics. With both brothers entrenched in politics, the fallout of this battle could have lasting implications.
