Whether it is Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, or even Narendra Modi, all have been victims of Chandrababu Naidu’s conspiracies. For “Babu & Co.,” insulting rivals is nothing new. The Chiranjeevi family, in particular, has faced repeated humiliations at their hands.
Early attacks and Media conspiracies
- During Chiranjeevi’s daughter Srija’s marriage in 2007, the yellow media sensationalized the issue, putting immense pressure on the family.
- To crush the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) in its infancy, Babu deployed his media network to spread false narratives.
- Yellow media was also the first to target Pawan Kalyan’s personal life, dragging his marriages into politics.
In 2019, when Pawan distanced himself from TDP, leaders stooped so low that they even abused his mother. Rumors were deliberately spread about “pen drives” containing private videos of Pawan, and TDP leaders used these lies to malign him further.
Chandrababu’s Hunger for Power
Chandrababu Naidu has shown time and again that he is a power-hungry politician. For his survival and dominance, he is ready to deploy any conspiracy through his yellow-media allies. His ultimate plan has always been to keep political power permanently in his grip.
To achieve this, he will stoop to any level—sometimes dragging opponents by their hair, falling at their feet. He builds influential networks within the system, spreads toxic propaganda, and even pretends to embrace sworn enemies when convenient.
Even Narendra Modi was not spared. If Modi himself could be insulted, what chance did Chiranjeevi or Pawan Kalyan have?
Babu’s Double Standards with Modi
Chandrababu’s opportunism is most visible in his relationship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi:
- In 2014, he allied with Modi and Pawan Kalyan.
- In 2019, he broke ties with both.
- In 2024, realizing he could not return to power without them, he bent down once again to seek their support.
Back in 2019, Chandrababu mocked Modi as a man unfit even to take care of his wife, let alone the country. Today, the same Chandrababu walks hand-in-hand with Modi, showcasing his double standards.
Conspiracies Against Chiranjeevi’s Family
For Chandrababu and his media ecosystem, insulting the Mega family has been a long-standing habit.
- 2007 Marriage Controversy: The uproar over Srija’s marriage was fueled by yellow media.
- 2008 PRP Attacks: Endless false propaganda was unleashed to weaken the newly formed PRP.
- “Pull Down the Flag” Campaign: Within a year of PRP’s launch, Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy claimed the party was merging with Congress. Enraged cadres burnt copies of these newspapers, forcing Chiranjeevi to declare: “No one can pull down our flag. Why strangle us at birth?”
- Cinema Discrimination (2017): When Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No. 150 was released, the government denied ticket price hikes and even blocked his pre-release event, while Balakrishna’s Gautamiputra Satakarni received full support.
Even in recent Assembly sessions, Balakrishna openly referred to Chiranjeevi as “Vadu” (that fellow), hurling derogatory remarks inside the House.
Personal attacks on Pawan Kalyan
Pawan Kalyan has also been a consistent target:
- In 2003, TDP leader Paritala Ravi spread rumors about his head being forcibly shaved.
- His three marriages were turned into political propaganda by TDP leaders, with Lokesh himself making false allegations.
- In 2019, when Pawan refused to support Chandrababu, TDP leaders even abused his mother—a fact Pawan disclosed publicly.
- False propaganda about “pen drives” was repeatedly used to malign him and silence his party leaders.
Balakrishna’s bitterness against Chiranjeevi
Balakrishna has long displayed resentment toward Chiranjeevi’s towering stature. He often flaunts his “special bloodline” and belittles the Mega family.
- At the Lepakshi Festival (2014–19), when asked about inviting Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna arrogantly replied: “I invite who I want. I will never invite someone who tries to climb on my head.”
- In 2018, during Nava Nirmana Deeksha, he mocked “hybrid parties,” indirectly targeting Chiranjeevi’s PRP.
- In Assembly sessions, he repeatedly hurled vulgar insults at Chiranjeevi, while recently using the word “Vadu.”
Yet Chiranjeevi himself clarified that he faced no humiliation during his interactions with Y.S. Jagan, who treated him with respect—thus puncturing TDP’s propaganda.
A Pattern of Humiliation
From Srija’s marriage controversy to Assembly insults, from PRP sabotage to personal attacks on Pawan, the pattern is clear: Chandrababu and his camp thrive on demeaning the Mega family. Even after Balakrishna’s latest remarks, fans lodged complaints, but expecting Babu & Co. to change their ways would be nothing short of wishful thinking.
