In an inspiring act of civic responsibility, a 13-year-old boy from Hyderabad has saved 39 acres of prime government land worth ₹3,900 crores—located in Jubilee Hills near the JRC Convention—by simply writing a letter.
The boy, who regularly played cricket on the land, grew suspicious when he noticed fencing being erected and workers clearing the area. Sensing something was off, he penned a letter to the Hyderabad Development Authority (HYDRA), prompting officials to investigate.
To everyone’s surprise, the land was indeed government property. Thanks to the boy’s timely intervention, authorities stopped the illegal encroachment, preserving a highly valuable public asset.
Praise poured in from all corners, with people hailing the boy as a role model for his awareness and courage. Many emphasized that his sense of responsibility should serve as an inspiration to other children.
This extraordinary act not only protected public property but also sparked a wider conversation about youth engagement in civic matters. At just 13, the boy has proven that age is no barrier when it comes to making a real difference.
