Public fury erupted against Chandrababu, who ascended to power with promises like Super Six and Super Seven but failed to implement a single one, deceiving the people. Following the call of former Chief Minister and YSRCP leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, party workers and the public united and mobilized like a tidal wave. When electricity tariffs worth over ₹15,000 crore were imposed, YS Jagan called for a power struggle, leading to massive statewide protests. When Chandrababu’s government cheated students by withholding ₹1,000 crore in fee reimbursements and failing to provide jobs, YS Jagan called for protests, and lakhs of youth and YSRCP cadres responded with zeal. Marking the anniversary of the election results on June 4, YS Jagan called for Backstab Day protests to highlight the coalition government’s failure to fulfill promises, betraying the public. YSRCP cadres across the state took to the streets in large numbers.
