The Tirumala TirupatiDevasthanams (TTD) has issued a formal notice to VisakhaSaradaPeetam, instructing them to vacate the premises currently operated by them, following the cancellation of the lease agreement. This decision was taken during the first board meeting of the newly constituted TTD board.
The move comes amid reports of alleged discrepancies related to the management of the building by VisakhaSaradaPeetam. Based on these findings, the TTD board passed a resolution to terminate the existing lease, asserting that the property must be brought back under the direct control of the Devasthanams.
Challenging the TTD’s decision, VisakhaSaradaPeetam had approached the court, seeking a stay on the cancellation. However, the court ruled in favor of TTD, allowing the board to proceed with its decision.Following the court’s verdict, TTD has now served an official notice to VisakhaSaradaPeetam, asking them to vacate the building within 15 days. The development has drawn attention in religious and administrative circles, with many awaiting further responses from the Peetam and possible appeals in higher courts.
