Chandrababu, who boasted that he would build a capital with nine new cities, has, in the seven years he has been Chief Minister of divided Andhra Pradesh, not constructed even a single permanent building and is turning the state into one without a capital through scams. Chandrababu is moving ahead by limiting the Amaravati capital to just a 217 square kilometre radius. While YS Jagan has been saying that the Machilipatnam-Vijayawada-Guntur corridor (MAVIGUN) he proposed will become a real growth engine, Chandrababu is ignoring it. In the name of giving legal sanctity to Amaravati, he is staging dramas and limiting himself to abusing Jagan. Daylight robbery in the name of the capital, scams through massively inflated estimates in construction, cheating by not giving plots to the farmers who gave their land, wasting crores in the name of designs — there is no atrocity or destruction that Chandrababu has not carried out in the name of Amaravati to protect his benami assets. Severe criticism is pouring in from all sides over his readiness to spend lakhs of crores, imposing a huge burden on the entire state and the people.
Has it become a self-financed project?
After the state division, Chandrababu was Chief Minister for seven years. How much construction has he completed in the one lakh acres of Amaravati? He called Amaravati his pet project. How much work has he done? Did Amaravati really become a self-financed city as Chandrababu claimed? He showed pictures of whichever country he visited and said “Look, this is Amaravati”. Now, after becoming Chief Minister again and two years having passed, why has Amaravati construction not moved even an inch? The countries Chandrababu talked about — where are they visible here?
What happened to all those cities?
Chandrababu keeps making new claims every day about wonders happening in Amaravati. He is repeating the same words he said in 2014-19. He talked of Sports City, Media City, Justice City, Knowledge City, Electronics City, Finance City, Health City and Government Complex.. has he built even one of these cities? There is no answer.
₹2 crore per acre.. ₹2 lakh crore for one lakh acres
In 2014, he created Bahubali-style settings claiming a grand capital in 50,000 acres. He showed designs of Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and various countries and fooled the people in the past. In the DPRs submitted to banks, Chandrababu himself stated that providing roads, electricity, water and drainage in those 50,000 acres would cost ₹2 crore per acre. Now he is suddenly saying it will remain a municipality and is demanding another 50,000 acres from the farmers. Even the developed plots promised to the farmers who gave their land in the first phase have not been handed over till date. Many farmers are protesting because plots were given in prohibited areas like ponds and graveyards. Now, if another 50,000 acres are taken, providing roads, electricity, water and drainage infrastructure for one lakh acres will cost ₹2 lakh crore according to his own calculations. Apart from this, there is additional cost for building construction.
Only ₹8,000 crore spent in seven years
In seven years as Chief Minister, Chandrababu has spent only ₹8,000 crore on the capital. By this calculation, it will take decades just to provide roads, sewerage, water and electricity infrastructure. As years pass, this expenditure will increase and even ₹2 lakh crore could become ₹10 lakh crore — there is no surprise in that.
Assembly resolution drama to cover up scams in Amaravati
Chandrababu is staging dramas with new names every day to divert people’s attention while committing scams and looting in the name of the capital. Even the Assembly resolution last week on Amaravati was part of this drama to divert attention from the daylight robbery. In Amaravati, the per square foot (SFT) construction cost has reached ₹11,000 to ₹14,000 in an unprecedented manner. Why is so much money being spent? What scams are causing this increase? Did Chandrababu answer these questions in the Assembly?
Nothing is spared for scams
Chandrababu has not spared even the High Court and Assembly for his scams. He is using the legislative bodies for extravagance and unchecked loot. Chandrababu has not limited his corruption to Secretariat towers, Assembly and High Court buildings. Whatever work you look at, loot is visible — roads, sewerage canals, sewerage plants, Kondaveetivagu flood diversion, layout development, architecture design fees — corruption is everywhere.
Yellow media spitting venom on the three-capitals proposal
Because building a capital in Amaravati involves lakhs of crores, the previous YSRCP government proposed three capitals with less investment. Respecting the Sri Bagh Agreement, it planned to make Kurnool the Judicial Capital, continue Amaravati as Legislative Capital, and make Visakhapatnam the Executive Capital as a growth engine. But the previous government’s practical proposal was not liked by Chandrababu. Along with the yellow media, they spat venom on YS Jagan and the YSR Congress Party.
MAVIGUN with just 10% expenditure
Since Machilipatnam, Vijayawada and Guntur are already developed, YS Jagan proposed that declaring the Machilipatnam-Vijayawada-Guntur corridor (MAVIGUN) as the capital region would require only 10% of the ₹2 lakh crore Chandrababu plans to spend in Amaravati. This would reduce the financial burden on the state’s people. Just like Chennai and Mumbai port-based cities, declaring the 110 km national highway stretch between Machilipatnam, Vijayawada and Guntur as the capital corridor would be practical. Jagan’s proposal of MAVIGUN is considered sensible by the people.

నవ నగరాలతో రాజధాని నిర్మిస్తానన్న చంద్రబాబు.. విభజిత ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ కు సీఎంగా ఉన్న 7 ఏళ్లలో ఒక్క శాశ్వత భవనాన్ని కట్టకుండా.. స్కాములతో అసలు రాష్ట్రానికి రాజధానే లేకుండా చేస్తున్నారు. అమరావతిలో చంద్రబాబు రాజధాని కేవలం 217 చ.కిలోమీటర్లు రేడియస్ కే పరిమితం చేసేలా ముందుకెళ్తున్నారు. మాజీ సీఎం వైయస్ జగన్ మచిలీపట్నం-విజయవాడ-గుంటూరు మధ్య ప్రతిపాదించిన మావిగన్ నిజమైన గ్రోత్ ఇంజిన్ గా నిలుస్తుందని చెబుతుంటే దాన్ని పెడచెవిన పెడుతున్నారు. అమరావతికి చట్టబద్ధత పేరిట డ్రామాలాడుతూ జగన్ పై దూషణలకే పరిమితమవుతున్నారు. డిజైన్ల పేరుతో దోపిడీ, నిర్మాణాల్లో భారీగా అంచనాలు పెంచి దోపిడీ, ఒక్క శాశ్వత భవనం కూడా నిర్మించకుండా మోసం, భూములిచ్చిన రైతులకు ప్లాట్లు ఇవ్వకుండా మరో మోసం.. ఇలా బినామీల ఆస్తులు కాపాడుకోవడానికి చంద్రబాబు అమరావతి పేరిట చేయని అరాచకం, విధ్వంసం లేదు. రాష్ట్రం మొత్తంపైనా భారం మోపుతూ రూ.లక్షల కోట్లు వెచ్చించేందుకు సిద్ధం కావడంపై తీవ్ర విమర్శలు వెల్లువెత్తుతున్నాయి.
సెల్ఫ్ ఫైనాన్స్ ప్రాజెక్టు అయ్యిందా?
రాష్ట్ర విభజన తర్వాత చంద్రబాబు ఏడేళ్లు సీఎంగా ఉండి లక్ష ఎకరాల అమరావతిలో ఏయే నిర్మాణాలు పూర్తి చేశారు? అమరావతి తన పెట్ ప్రాజెక్టు (మానస పుత్రిక) అని చెప్పే చంద్రబాబు ఏ మేరకు నిర్మాణాలు చేశారు? చంద్రబాబు డబ్బా కొట్టినట్టు అమరావతి నిజంగా సెల్ఫ్ ఫైనాన్స్ ప్రాజెక్టు అయ్యిందా? ఏ దేశం వెళితే ఆ దేశం బొమ్మలు చూపించి అదిగో.. ఇదే అమరావతి అంటారు. ఇప్పుడు మళ్లీ ముఖ్యమంత్రి అయ్యి రెండేళ్లవుతున్నా అమరావతి నిర్మాణంపై అడుగైనా కదలని దుస్థితి ఎందుకు దాపురించింది? బాబు చెప్పిన ఆ దేశాలు ఇక్కడ కనిపిస్తున్నాయా?
ఆ సిటీలన్నీ ఏమయ్యాయి?
అమరావతిలో అద్భుతాలు జరుగుతాయంటూ చంద్రబాబు రోజుకో మాట చెబుతున్నారు. 2014-19లో చెప్పిన మాటలే ఇప్పుడూ రిపీట్ చేస్తున్నారు. స్పోర్ట్స్ సిటీ, మీడియా సిటీ, జస్టిస్ సిటీ, నాలెడ్జ్ సిటీ, ఎలక్ట్రానిక్స్ సిటీ, ఫైనాన్స్ సిటీ, హెల్త్ సిటీ, గవర్నమెంట్ కాంప్లెక్స్ అన్నారు.. ఈ నగరాల్లో ఒక్క నగరమైనా నిర్మించారా అంటే సమాధానం లేదు.
ఎకరానికి రూ.2 కోట్లు.. లక్ష ఎకరాలకు రూ.2 లక్షల కోట్లు
2014లో 50 వేల ఎకరాల్లో అద్భుత రాజధాని అంటూ బాహుబలి సెట్టింగులు వేయించారు. సింగపూర్. హాంకాంగ్, జపాన్ రకరకాల దేశాల పేర్లతో డిజైన్లు చూపించి గతంలో మధ్య ప్రజలను మభ్యపెట్టారు. నాడు రోడ్లు, సీవరేజ్, నీరు, విద్యుత్ కల్పనకే ఎకరానికి రూ.2 కోట్లు అవసరమని బ్యాంకులకు సమర్పించిన డీపీఆర్ లలోనే చంద్రబాబు పేర్కొన్నారు. ఇప్పుడేమో మున్సిపాల్టీగా మిగిలిపోతుందంటూ మరో 50 వేల ఎకరాలు కావాలంటూ రైతులకు ఎసరు పెడుతున్నారు. ఇప్పటికే భూములిచ్చిన రైతులకు అభివృద్ధి చేసిన ప్లాట్ల అప్పగింత నేటికీ పూర్తి కాలేదు. చెరువుల్లో, శ్మశానాల్లో ప్లాట్లు ఇవ్వడంతో అనేక మంది అభ్యంతరం వ్యక్తంచేస్తున్నారు. ఇప్పుడు మరో 50 వేల ఎకరాలు కూడా తీసుకుంటేమొత్తంగా లక్ష ఎకరాల్లో రోడ్లు, సీవరేజ్, నీరు, విద్యుత్ వసతుల కల్పనకే రూ.2 లక్షల కోట్లు అవసరం. ఇక భవనాల నిర్మాణ ఖర్చు దీనికి అదనం.
ఖర్చు చేసింది కేవలం రూ.8 వేల కోట్లు
ఏడేళ్లలో సీఎం చంద్రబాబు రాజధానికి ఖర్చు పెట్టింది కేవలం రూ.8 వేల కోట్లే. ఈ లెక్కన రోడ్లు, సీవరేజ్, నీరు, విద్యుత్ వసతులు కల్పించడానికే దశాబ్దాలు పడుతుంది. ఇంకా సంవత్సరాలు గడిచే కొద్దీ ఆ వ్యయం పెరిగి రూ.2 లక్షల కోట్లు కాస్తా రూ.10 లక్షల కోట్లకు చేరినా ఆశ్చర్యపోనవసరం లేదు.
రాజధానిలో అవినీతిని కప్పిపుచ్చుకోవడానికే తీర్మానం డ్రామా
చంద్రబాబు కొత్త కొత్త పేర్లతో డ్రామాలు చేస్తూ ప్రజల దృష్టిని మళ్లించి స్కాము(కుంభకోణం)లతో దోచేస్తున్నారు. రాజధాని పేరుతో పట్టపగలు చేస్తున్న దోపిడీపై ప్రజలను డైవర్ట్ చేసేందుకు డ్రామా చేశారు. అమరావతిలో గత వారం శాసనసభ తీర్మానం డ్రామాలో ఇవన్నీ స్పష్టంగా కనిపించాయి. ఎక్కడా లేని విధంగా అమరావతిలో చదరపు అడుగు (ఎస్ఎఫ్టీ) నిర్మాణానికి ఏకంగా రూ.11 వేల నుంచి రూ.14 వేలు ఖర్చు అవుతుంది. అంతంత ఎందుకు ఖర్చు చేస్తున్నారు? ఏ స్కాములతో ఇది పెరుగుతోంది. వీటికి సమాధానం ఎక్కడైనా అసెంబ్లీలో చెప్పారా?
స్కాముల కోసం దేన్నీ వదల్లేదు
చంద్రబాబు హైకోర్టు, అసెంబ్లీని కూడా స్కాముల కోసం వదలట్లేదు. దుబారా, విచ్చలవిడి దోపిడీ కోసం చట్టసభలను వాడేస్తున్నారు. చంద్రబాబు తన అవినీతిని సచివాలయం, అసెంబ్లీ, హైకోర్టు భవనాలకు పరిమితం చేయలేదు. ఏ పని చూసినా దోపిడీ కనిపిస్తోంది. రోడ్లు, మురుగు నీటి కాలువలు, సీవరేజీ ప్లాంట్, కొండవీటి వాగు వరద మళ్లింపు, లే అవుట్ డెవలప్మెంట్, అర్కిటెక్చర్ డిజైన్ల ఫీజుల్లో అవినీతికి పాల్పడ్డారు.
మూడు రాజధానులపై విషం కక్కిన ఎల్లో మీడియా
అమరావతిలో రాజధాని నిర్మాణం లక్షల కోట్లతో కూడుకున్న వ్యవహారం కావడంతో గత వైయస్సార్ సీపీ సర్కారు తక్కువ పెట్టుబడితో పూర్తయ్యే మూడు రాజధానులను ప్రతిపాదించింది.శ్రీబాగ్ ఒడంబడిక మేరకు కర్నూలును న్యాయ రాజధాని చేయాలనుకుంది..అమరావతిని శాసన రాజధానిగా కొనసాగించాలనుకుంది.. గ్రోత్ ఇంజిన్గా మార్చాలనే విశాఖపట్నంను ఎగ్జిక్యూటివ్ క్యాపిటల్గా చేయాలనుకుంది. కానీ గత ప్రభుత్వం చెప్పిన ఆచరణాత్మక ప్రణాళిక చంద్రబాబుకు నచ్చలేదు.. ఎల్లో మీడియాతో కలిసి వైయస్ జగన్, వైయస్సార్ సీపీపై విషంగక్కారు.
10 శాతం ఖర్చుతోనే మావిగన్
ఇప్పటికే మచిలీపట్నం, విజయవాడ, గుంటూరు అభివృద్ధి చెందినందున ఈ నగరాల కలయికతో రాజధానిని నిర్మిస్తే చంద్రబాబు అమరావతిలో ఖర్చు చేయాలనుకుంటున్న రూ.2 లక్షల కోట్లలో కేవలం 10 శాతం వెచ్చిస్తే రాజధాని సిద్ధమవుతుందన్న వైయస్ జగన్ మాటల్లో ఎంతో దూర దృష్టి ఉంది. దీని వల్ల రాజధాని వల్ల రాష్ట్ర ప్రజలపై ఆర్థిక భారం తగ్గుతుంది. చెన్నై, ముంబై పోర్టు ఆధారిత సిటీలు. ఈ తరహాలోనే మచిలీపట్నం, గుంటూరు మధ్య 110 కిలోమీటర్ల జాతీయ రహదారి వెంబడి ప్రాంతాలను రాజధాని కారిడార్గా ప్రకటిస్తే అది ఆచరణాత్మకంగా ఉంటుందన్న జగన్ ప్రతిపాదన సహేతుకమేనని ప్రజలు భావిస్తున్నారు.
