TDP’s spurious liquor killing innocent lives

Four deaths in four days, African formula for profit, and 30% commission to Karakatta Bungalow expose TDP’s deadly liquor mafia.

Spurious liquor manufactured in TDP leaders’ factories is claiming innocent lives across Andhra Pradesh. In the past four days alone, four persons have died after consuming counterfeit liquor supplied from TDP’s illegal units.

  • Sri Satya Sai District (Erraballi, Tanakallu Mandal): Sri Ramulu (58), a daily wage worker, died after drinking liquor from the Mulakalacheruvu outlet, which locals said gave a “full kick.”

  • Narasaraopet (Barampeta Chakiralamitta): Palepu Koteshwar Rao (50), a lorry cleaner, was found dead outside a liquor shop on Guntur Road.

  • SPS Nellore District (Velagapadu, Kaligiri Mandal): A 45-year-old man died near a belt shop.

  • Nellore Rural: Another unidentified man (45) died near a liquor shop.

How many such deaths have occurred in the past 18 months is still unclear.

Major Seizures:

On Oct 3, Excise officials raided Mulakalacheruvu (Annamaiah district) and uncovered a massive counterfeit liquor factory: 17,200 bottles, thousands of litres of spurious liquor, caps, and fake brand labels. TDP leader Katta Surendra Naidu was arrested after spurious liquor was found in his residence and “Andhra Wines” outlet. Based on a seized diary, Excise teams raided two godowns in Ibrahimpatnam (NTR district) and seized large quantities of fake liquor. Allegations continue that inspections are being carried out half-heartedly despite many names in the diary.

African Formula & TDP Franchises:

With the support of Chinna Babu, Tamballapalle TDP in-charge Jayachandra Reddy and his aide Addepalli Janardhan Rao imported counterfeit liquor formulas from African countries. TDP leader families took regional “franchises.” With the racket now exposed in Mulakalacheruvu, the party has announced Jayachandra Reddy’s expulsion as damage control, while cases were booked against Janardhan Rao and others

Names to be Added in Case:

So far, 14 people have been booked and 7 more may be added. Among them are TDP leader Jayachandra Reddy and his brother-in-law Giridhar Reddy, who allegedly supervised production. Two more key TDP leaders from Tamballapalle may also be named. Main accused Janardhan Rao and PA Rajesh are absconding. Kodali Srinivas Rao was arrested today. Jaganmohan Rao admitted during interrogation that the racket was started four months ago in Mulakalacheruvu and three months ago in Ibrahimpatnam purely for huge profits.

Financial Nexus – 30% Cut to Karakatta Bungalow:

Unofficial Excise estimates reveal one-third of liquor sales in the State are spurious. In the coalition government’s first year alone, counterfeit sales touched Rs. 5,280 crore. The syndicate’s target is to raise fake liquor sales to 50% of the market, looting Rs. 10,000 crore annually, Rs. 40,000 crore in four years. Out of this, 30% (Rs. 12,000 crore) is earmarked as commission for Karakatta residence (CM’s house), 50% goes to senior TDP leaders overseeing regions, and 20% to TDP syndicates managing shops and bars
