Viral Video Shows CI Pushing Former Minister Rajani, Triggers Backlash

A controversy has erupted in Andhra Pradesh’s Bapatla district after a Circle Inspector (CI) allegedly misbehaved with former minister and YSRCP leader Vidadala Rajani during her visit to her constituency. The incident, which has gone viral on social media, has sparked outrage among political circles and the public.

According to reports, CI Subbarayudu abruptly stopped Rajani’s vehicle while she was touring her constituency. In an unexpected move, he attempted to arrest her close aide, Srikanth, without providing a clear reason or showing any arrest warrant. When Rajani questioned the legality of the arrest and demanded to see the necessary documents, the officer reportedly responded rudely and refused to give any explanation.

Matters escalated when the CI, in an attempt to open the vehicle door, allegedly pushed Rajani aside. The entire incident was captured on camera by an unknown individual and quickly circulated online, drawing widespread condemnation.

Several critics and political leaders have slammed CI Subbarayudu’s conduct, calling it disrespectful and unacceptable, especially towards a woman leader and public representative. Demands for an official inquiry and disciplinary action against the officer have begun surfacing, with calls for accountability from the police department.
