YSRCP leaders and cadres have expressed strong anger over the derogatory and obscene remarks made by ABN Radhakrishna, and staged peaceful protests in front of Andhra Jyothi offices and ABN channel offices. The protests were held against the offensive comments made by Radhakrishna, which have triggered widespread resentment.
Forgetting basic journalistic values, Radhakrishna, under the guise of his column “Kotha Paluku,” made highly objectionable remarks targeting the wives of YSRCP leaders and cadres. YSRCP leaders condemned the comments, stating that it was extremely disgraceful to write such vulgar statements and for a lady anchor to read them out on air. He made demeaning remarks suggesting that YSRCP members have no self-respect and would even treat their wives in an insulting manner, which has been widely criticized as unacceptable and offensive.
YSRCP leaders questioned why coalition leaders have failed to even condemn such shameful remarks. They asked why Nara Lokesh and Home Minister Anitha, who had previously claimed that strict action would be taken against anyone insulting women, have remained silent on this issue. They also questioned why the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister have not responded or condemned the remarks. Instead, they alleged that leaders are spreading false propaganda and targeting those who are holding peaceful protests.
