In a surprising political twist, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh has alleged that a person
named Murali Krishna deliberately sent negative emails to a Singapore-based company to
dissuade investment in the state, allegedly acting on behalf of YSRCP leaders, including former
minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy.
Lokesh made the accusations following a recent TDP delegation’s visit to Singapore, where they
aimed to attract investments. According to him, these emails damaged Andhra Pradesh’s image
and were part of a deliberate smear campaign by the opposition.
However, speculation has emerged that Murali Krishna is actually Murali Mohan Chowdary, a
former hardcore TDP supporter from Chilakaluripet, who once actively backed TDP and Lokesh
on social media through his handle @tollywood. Insiders say Murali turned against the party due
to alleged personal grievances after the TDP came to power.
Murali claims that his family was harassed and threatened by local TDP leaders, especially
followers of TDP MLA Prathipati Pullarao, who allegedly tried to grab his property, damaged
CCTV cameras, and dumped garbage near his mall. Despite appealing to senior leaders like
Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh, and Pawan Kalyan on social media, Murali says no one responded.
Feeling betrayed, Murali began criticizing the TDP government online, accusing it of land
grabbing and injustice. Following Lokesh’s press conference, Murali cryptically tweeted that he had sent “four emails after four pegs” but couldn’t remember to whom, hinting at hisinvolvement in the controversy.
In response, the YSRCP hit back, questioning why the TDP was blaming them for the actions ofa once-loyal supporter who turned rogue due to alleged mistreatment. They called it aself-inflicted crisis and a contradiction in TDP’s narrative.
