TDP Leader’s Murder in Andhra Pradesh Sparks Political Storm; Party Rivalry Suspected

The murder of TDP leader VeerayyaChowdary has left Andhra Pradesh stunned — not just for its brutality, but for the shocking betrayal behind it.

Veerayya, a prominent figure from AmmanaBrolu village in the Santanutalapadu constituency, was found dead with over 40 stab wounds — a chilling testament to the hatred that drove his killers. But what rattled many even more was the discovery that the man believed to have orchestrated the murder was from within his own party — and his own community.

Police investigations point to VeeragandhamDevendranathChowdary, another TDP leader, as the mastermind. Preliminary findings suggest that power struggles within the party and disputes over business interests, particularly involving land, rice trade, and liquor businesses, may have triggered the deadly fallout.

Initially, attempts were made by some media outlets to link the crime to opposition political forces, but police investigations have debunked those claims. The revelation that both the victim and the prime accused belong to the same political party has not only embarrassed the TDP but has also sparked internal turmoil.

Investigators believe that Devendranath hired a contract killing gang to carry out the gruesome act. Under the supervision of Prakasam District SP Damodar, police teams are racing to track down every link in the deadly plot. Devendranath is currently in custody, being interrogated at a secret location.
