Super Six scam unmasked.. Naidu Govt siphons off Rs. 52,000+ Cr in 20 Months

Super Six scam unmasked.. Naidu Govt siphons off Rs. 52,000+ Cr in 20 Months

The Chandrababu Naidu-led NDA alliance government, which stormed to power in 2024 riding on false propaganda and “Super Six” guarantees, has been exposed for its spectacular failure in just 20 months of rule. Instead of fulfilling poll promises, the regime stands accused of siphoning off thousands of crores from welfare schemes while repeatedly lying in the Assembly. Even during the recent budget sessions, Chandrababu and his ministers made tall claims they could not substantiate. From mothers and farmers to students and senior citizens, every section has been allegedly cheated. Here is a point-by-point fact-check of the blatant lies uttered by the Chief Minister versus the ground reality.

Talliki Vandanam: Mothers Cheated by Rs. 24,504 Crore

Lie: “With Talliki Vandanam, assistance given to 67.27 lakh students.”

Truth: Chandrababu had promised before the elections that every mother sending her child to school would receive Rs. 15,000 annually. According to UDISE statistics, 87,41,885 children are studying in Andhra Pradesh schools. The annual requirement at Rs. 15,000 per child works out to Rs. 13,112.82 crore. But the government completely skipped the first year.

In 2025–26, only Rs. 6,377 crore was paid to just 66 lakh beneficiaries. In two years, arrears to mothers have already crossed Rs. 19,848.64 crore. The 2025-26 budget proposed only Rs. 8,457.07 crore and later slashed another Rs. 4,655.75 crore. Over three years, the total amount siphoned off from children under Talliki Vandanam stands at a shocking Rs. 24,504 crore.

Deepam Scheme: Gas Promise Fizzles out

Lie: “Three free cylinders distributed to one crore families.”

Truth: There are 1,59,20,000 gas connections in the state. Chandrababu promised three free cylinders per family per year at Rs. 855 each, requiring Rs. 4,083.48 crore annually. In the first year, the government released only Rs. 865 crore (for one cylinder), siphoning off Rs. 3,218.48 crore.

The previous budget allocated just Rs. 2,601 crore, leaving another Rs. 1,482.48 crore in arrears for the second year. In two years, women have been deprived of Rs. 4,700.96 crore under Deepam. Adding pending amounts, the total embezzlement now stands at Rs. 6,183 crore.

Annadata Sukhibhava: Farmers Stabbed in the Back: Rs. 21,000 Cr Siphoned

Lie: “Through Annadata Sukhibhava, Rs. 6,310 crore released in two instalments to 46 lakh farmers’ accounts.”

Truth: Chandrababu promised Rs. 20,000 per farmer per year as investment support (independent of PM-KISAN). The state has 53,58,266 farmers, requiring Rs. 10,716.53 crore annually.

The first year was completely skipped. In 2025–26, only Rs. 4,685.54 crore was released to 46,85,838 farmers at Rs. 10,000 each; 6,72,428 farmers received nothing. Instead of Rs. 40,000 over two years, every farmer is now owed Rs. 30,000. Two-year arrears have reached Rs. 16,747.52 crore. With the latest budget providing only partial allocation, the total amount siphoned off from farmers has crossed Rs. 21,000 crore.

Pensions: 5.38lakh pensions slashed, another 7.45 lakh to be slashed

Lie: “We are giving pensions to 63 lakh people every month.”

Truth: While Chandrababu claims in every public meeting that pensions are being paid every month, the government has been quietly cutting 25,000 pensions monthly. At the time of the 2024 elections, the state had 66,34,372 pensions. By February 2026, only 60,96,108 remained, a massive cut of 5.38 lakh pensions.

In February 2026, only Rs. 2,632 crore was released for 60 lakh pensions. Annualised, the budget should have shown Rs. 31,554 crore, but this year’s allocation is just Rs. 27,719 crore, sufficient for only 53,50,115 pensions. This means another 7,45,993 pensions are set to be cut this year.

No new pensions have been sanctioned since this government came to power. Over 2.5 lakh applications are pending. During the previous regime, pensions were updated every June and December and new ones sanctioned every six months. When Chandrababu left office earlier, there were only 39 lakh pensions; the previous government raised it to 66 lakh. In just two years of Chandrababu’s rule, 6 lakh pensions have been slashed.

The promise of pensions for 20 lakh SC, ST, BC and minority citizens above 50 years has been completely ignored, resulting in Rs. 28,800 crore embezzlement over three years.

Roads: Pothole-ridden death traps & new burden on people

Lie: “We have repaired roads and constructed CC roads.”

Truth: Since the alliance government took charge, roads across the state have turned into pothole-ridden nightmares. Chandrababu had ordered all potholes to be filled by Sankranti 2025. Yet by January 2026, roads have deteriorated further. Of 27,141 km of rural roads, nearly half are severely damaged.

The government has now washed its hands of road maintenance and is handing them over to private players. Roads & Buildings Minister Janardhan Reddy told the Assembly that 709 km of 12 roads will be developed under PPP mode. Another 1,500 km of roads will be funded by recovering costs from the public over 16 years through cess and tolls.

The plan includes:

– Rs. 732 crore from Rs. 1 cess on petrol and diesel

– Rs. 441 crore from 10% cess on mines and minerals

– Rs. 350 crore from 10% cess on motor vehicles

Total annual loot through cess: Rs. 1,523 crore. While extracting money through cess, the government is also set to impose fresh tolls on road users.

Fee Reimbursement & Vasati Deevena: Rs. 8,900 Cr Pending

Lie: “Rs. 2,600 crore paid as fee reimbursement.”

Truth: In 2025-26, the government allocated Rs. 2,564 crore for higher education salaries and maintenance but spent only Rs. 2,386 crore. For 2026-27, Rs. 2,566.80 crore has been allocated. Every year, Rs. 2,800 crore is needed for fee reimbursement and Rs. 1,100 crore for Vasati Deevena, a total of Rs. 3,900 crore.

In 20 months, neither scheme has been implemented properly. Fee reimbursement arrears now stand at nearly Rs. 5,600 crore. Adding Vasati Deevena pending funds of Rs. 3,300 crore, the total amount due to students has reached Rs. 8,900 crore. Yet the latest budget makes no provision to clear these dues.

Electricity Charges: Rs.20,000 Cr burden despite “13 paise cut” claim

Lie: “For the first time we have done true-down and reduced power charges by 13 paise.”

Truth: In just one-and-a-half years, the government has imposed nearly Rs. 20,000 crore in fresh power charges. When the Electricity Regulatory Commission ordered a refund of excess True-Up charges, the government reduced a few paise per unit and shamelessly claimed credit for it.

During 2019-2024, power sector reforms drastically reduced DISCOM operational costs. The surplus was partly passed on to consumers and the rest adjusted internally, protecting people from heavy tariff burden. The current regime has reversed that relief and is now burdening consumers with massive charges.

The Chandrababu alliance government’s “Super Six” guarantees have turned into a super scam. With massive siphoning, pension cuts, pending dues and new burdens on the people, the 20-month report card is one of complete failure and deception. The people of Andhra Pradesh are now seeing the bitter truth behind the false propaganda.
