Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) IPL 2025 journey has come to a disappointing end, with the team finishing 8th on the points table after managing just 3 wins from 11 games. A rain-abandoned clash against Delhi Capitals last night sealed their fate, eliminating them from playoff contention.

High Hopes, Harsh Reality:

With a power-packed squad featuring Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Mohammed Siraj, and Pat Cummins, SRH were tipped as title contenders. However, after a few early wins, the team’s form nosedived. Inconsistency with the bat and ball, along with some questionable selections, led to a string of losses.

Pitch Problems at Home:

Coach Daniel Vettori blamed their home conditions, saying the pitches were not batting-friendly and hindered their explosive top-order. In 2024, SRH posted seven 200+ scores at home; this year, they managed only four. Their aggressive style was largely nullified by slow, turning tracks.
