The tragic death of Pastor Praveen, initially declared a road accident by the police, has taken a dramatic turn as Praja Shanti Party President KA Paul made sensational claims, alleging it was a cold-blooded murder and not a mere accident.
In a press interaction on Wednesday, KA Paul dismissed the official narrative of a self-accident, stating that there is ample evidence pointing to murder. He demanded a high-level probe by a sitting judge or the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), expressing deep distrust in the current police investigation.
KA Paul raised several sharp questions regarding the police’s handling of the case:
- If the accident was genuine, why hasn’t the post-mortem report been made public?
- Why was no action taken against Pastor Praveen if he was allegedly driving under the influence?
- How can someone who never consumed alcohol in 24 years, as claimed by Paul, be suddenly involved in a drunk-driving incident?
He further revealed that Pastor Praveen had received multiple threats prior to his death, implying a possible premeditated motive.
Escalating the matter further, KA Paul alleged that around 100 other pastors are being targeted, suggesting a broader pattern of religious persecution or planned attacks. These remarks have added a layer of concern and urgency around the incident.
In a direct appeal, KA Paul called upon Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to intervene and order a CBI investigation if he is committed to truth and justice. He questioned the government’s intent, emphasizing that only a central probe can reveal the real cause of Pastor Praveen’s death.
As of now, the police maintain that the death was accidental, based on preliminary investigation. However, in light of the growing public attention and serious allegations, there is mounting pressure on authorities to review the case transparently and respond to the questions raised.
