KTR Drops Political Bombshell: “PeopleAsking Us to Topple Congress Govt in Telangana”

Telangana’s political landscape was rocked on Thursday after BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) made explosive claims suggesting that powerful business heads and real estate players in Hyderabad are urging his party to bring down the Congress-led government. Speaking at a party meeting, KTR revealed that several industry bigwigs, fed up with the current regime, have approached BRS leaders offering to bankroll an operation to topple the Revanth Reddy-led administration.

Echoing similar statements made earlier this week by Medak MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, KTR’s remarks have injected fresh political heat into Telangana’s post-election narrative, indicating growing discontent among influential stakeholders in the state’s capital city.

“They are ready to bear the cost… They’re urging us to act. But we will not. We respect democracy,” KTR asserted, positioning the BRS as a party that believes in fighting its battles in the public domain, not behind closed doors.

The BRS leader, however, didn’t hold back his criticism of the Congress government, claiming that the party had already “lost the people’s trust” within months of coming to power. “Let the people teach them a lesson in the next election. We’ll wait. We’re not in a hurry to reclaim power—we’ll do it the right way,” he added.

These revelations come at a time when murmurs of dissatisfaction among various sectors—particularly in real estate, construction, and small business circles—are becoming increasingly audible. Industry sources cite delays in policy decisions, abrupt changes in regulatory norms, and what they call a “lack of administrative clarity” under the Congress regime as reasons for the unrest.
