In a shocking incident, a woman traveling on an MMTS train on 22nd March from Secunderabad to Medchal jumped out of the moving train to escape a sexual assault Where she sustained injuries while attempting to flee.
According to reports, the accused approached the victim in the women’s coach after her fellow passengers got down at Alwal station and attempted to assault her. Fearing for her safety, she took the drastic step of jumping from the train. Passersby and railway authorities rushed to her aid and took her to a hospital for treatment. The victim is a resident of Uravakonda in Anantapur District, Andhra Pradesh.
The police have identified the suspect as Jangam Mahesh, a resident of Goudavalli village in Medchal district. Reports indicate that he has a criminal history, with previous offenses registered against him. Following an investigation, the Hyderabad police arrested him and are currently interrogating him.
