In a significant boost to national security efforts, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has successfully concluded a nine-day-long anti-Maoist operation across the rugged terrains of Karregutta, located along the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border. The operation was strategically planned to curb Maoist infiltration in the region, which has long been a hotspot for insurgent activity.Utilizing advanced surveillance tools such as drones and helicopters, the CRPF meticulously scouted dense forest areas, locating and neutralizing Maoist hideouts, weapons dumps, and underground tunnels. The success of this mission was deemed critical enough to draw the attention of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) Chief, who visited Karregutta to personally assess the operation’s impact and was briefed by senior CRPF officers on the ground.Following the operation’s success, the CRPF has decided to establish a permanent base camp in Karregutta to maintain a stronghold in this strategic corridor. This move is expected to enhance security coordination across the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border and provide a rapid response mechanism against future Maoist threats. A fresh deployment of forces has replaced the initial team, ensuring that security measures remain robust and consistent. The operation is seen as a crucial step toward securing the region and dismantling long-standing insurgent networks.
