A Heartbreaking Aftermath
However, amidst the celebrations and record-breaking achievements, the day also brought immense sorrow to two families in the Telugu states.
- In Krishna district, a student named Anil from Arjavanigudem reportedly failed in the science subject. Unable to cope with the disappointment, he tragically died by suicide at his home.
- In another devastating incident, Venugopal Rao from Balaga area in Srikakulam district scored 393 marks, but was deeply disappointed for not meeting his own expectations. He too took the extreme step, ending his life.
Both students’ deaths have brought attention to the growing pressure on students during exam seasons and highlighted the urgent need for mental health support and counselling in schools.
